Vision : To create an informed, involved and active citizen base, that is aware of its rights and engaged in participatory local governance. Civic Principles : CIVIC is a forum for discussion and action by citizen on issues facing Bangalore city, its development and future. The focus is on participatory development processes that relate to the needs of urban poor – the marginalized and voiceless who live on the periphery of cities’ growth, increasing peoples' participation in local governance, striving for greater equity using the Nagarpalika Act (74th Constitutional Amendment Act) and the Right to Information Act.
